bombay beach at salton sea

Bombay Beach at the Salton Sea is a desert wasteland where skeletal remains lay in ruins of a once-booming resort from the mid-twentieth century.   Artists have taken to the small community to transform old trailers into living open artist museums.

Sculptures, magick portals, and exhibit halls now house the post-apocalyptical place where one can wander and explore this urban art playground.

A sculpture sits atop the roof of the zigzag house.

The glass balls that look like droplets of water suspended from a cube structure, capture the sun and vibrant colours of the sky through these spheres.
This is the Airbnb where we stayed. Called the zigzag house, named after the trailers exterior colorful canvas.
The empty lot next door is a form of a runway for painted mannequins. A neon cow sits atop the trailer beside this mannequin land.
In front of the trailer living room, the view is of a post-apocalyptic outdoor living space equipped with an ice box, television and couches.Gems found in the night time.
